NikMati - A Rose Gone Too Soon

Breakup is a sad and tragic thing. Whether if the relationship ended in a feud or mutual understanding, it still hurts. Hurts like hell. I recently went through one breakup and it left me in splinters and it was very difficult to put the pieces back together. Even though the conversation ended in “we’ll still be friends,” those words are not big enough to patch the big hole in my heart.

That experience inspired me to draw this piece: the beautiful rose that once said “I love you” has been drained of its luscious colour and no matter how much tears I cry, it will not stop the rose from withering to death…
